The starting point for this design was combining the sharpness of a collared shirt with the ease of a summer top. A halter neckline was chosen to create a modern silhouette while showcasing the shoulders. The gathered waist seam introduces shape without relying on restrictive tailoring, allowing the peplum hem to add movement and volume. Button-front detailing reinforces the shirting inspiration and gives the piece a more elevated feel. The result is a top that feels fresh, distinctive, and versatile enough to move between casual and smart-casual occasions.
